Yesterday, five people showed up for our teen series book discussion. The weather was dismal, so thanks to them for coming over! We talked about all kinds of
issues related to series books, and everyone had a lot of opinions. One thing that kept coming up was disappointment with later volumes after really liking the beginning of a series. The was true for trilogies (
The Hunger Games) as well as longer series (
Harry Potter). But we all recommended some favorite series books, and several people checked out some new things to try. Also, Owen was really glad to get his hands on the new Alex Rider book (
Scorpia Rising) that just came out this week!
