My love for Fanboy and Goth Girl actually surprised me, too. Now I really want to read Boy Toy. Was it my dislike of Neverwhere that surprised you about me liking Barry Lyga?
no, it's more your interest in historical fiction. i didn't know you liked contemporary fiction, particularly more edgy stuff like fanboy with language and whatnot.
I read This Is What I Did and it was pretty good. Kind of a stilted writing style, but all in all, a good portrait of a kid with PTSD.
