Welcome to our group blog by the teens and librarians at Upper Darby Sellers Library. We blog about anything related to our library: upcoming events, new books, favorite authors, interesting websites, or whatever. Feel free to comment on the posts of others, but remember that inappropriate comments will be deleted. Also, email Paul at yaservices@udlibraries.org if you would like to be a contributor. I read this book in 3 and a half hours, and although it wasn't as long as the last two, I think I liked it better. Without giving too much away, I will tell you guys that there's a pretty major death and an equally major betrayal. While the end is fairly sad(I was crying, I am not ashamed to admit it), I think this one is probably the best book yet. It does leave a lot of questions to be answered, but we learn a lot-it helped me understand events that had taken place in previous books (and even before the series) much better. The only problem is that now I really, really, really want to find out how it all ends!
So, I just finished the book. I liked it way better then #5. It was shorter, more tightly plotted, and generally more cohesive than the last installment. However, I really think the whole thing with Harry giving up his girlfriend was a bit too Spiderman for me. Actually, HP graphic novels could be a big seller...like J. K. Rowling needs more money...
Jokes aside, here is my one issue: the end of the book totally sidesteps the need for only seven books in the series, thus allowing J. K. Rowling to drag the story out forever!!! Noooooooooooooo!
